As I said in my course Manifested It! "the only thing required to manifest is that you start THINKING, FEELING, and ACTING like your future self who already is living your dream reality (aka become a vibrational match) as often as possible." Luckily that second step, FEELING, can be as simple as listening to certain songs 🎶, watching inspiring movies 🎥 or tv shows, reading certain books 📚, playing video games 🎮, and even being on social media!
For a moment, we are transported in time to those realities and get so immersed in them that we begin to experience the emotions of the main character or artist. THAT is how you become a vibrational match for a new reality and why you can use these types of media to manifest!
In this blog, I am going to teach you more about WHY this works and HOW to incorporate your favorite music, movies, books, and games into your manifestation formula to make more fun and easy than ever before! Plus I am going to share some of my favorites from each that always get me into the vibe of my desires. ✨
So with all of that being said, let's dive in and get manifesting!
But first, WHY does this help us manifest?
According to Law of Attraction, our vibration (aka thoughts, feelings, actions) attracts similar vibrating things into our reality. You may have also heard this as "what you focus on expands!". I dive more into the science and nitty gritty of manifesting in my course, but that is the most basic and simple definition you will need to understand what I am about to share with you.
So how does media shift and align your vibration with your desired reality?
Because listening to music, watching movies, reading books, playing video games, or scrolling on Pinterest creates an emotional response in us! I am sure you have cried to a song before. Or walked out of a movie theater feeling super inspired. Maybe read a book and changed your whole personality? Those emotions are shifting your vibration and attracting more similar situations, people, things into your life to create more of that emotion for you.
side note: you may have guessed that this also goes the opposite way too...watching, listening, reading, or playing things that make you feel worse either about yourself, your life, or the world will create more of that, theoretically. If you take it a step further, anything you don't desire that you give your attention to could create more of that in your life which definitely gave me anxiety when I first learned about manifestation.
This line of thought has lead to some spiritual bypassing and toxic positivity in the manifestation space online unfortunately and IS NOT TRUE! So let me calm everyone's nerves and call bullsh*t on this "good vibes only" narrative.
You are a soul having a human experience and are allowed to feel any and ALL emotions. They will not "attract bad things to you" or "block your manifestations". Your reality is altered by your dominate vibration, not every single thing you think, feel, or do. That is why thinking about your dream car doesn't make it fall from the sky in front of you. There is wayyy more to manifestation than that.
Also, some emotions such as love and joy vibrate over 500hz and are more powerful than others such as anger or fear that are closer to 100hz. Even a few minutes of intentionally creating those "higher" vibrations overpower and dominate the others.
Clearly, this is a very nuanced topic and I will discuss it more in the Manifestation Myths Masterclass, but I wanted to mention it here in this blog so you don't think watching Chuckie will manifest a crazy murderous doll into your life this Halloween lol.

Alright, back to what you came for - how to manifest with media and a fun experience that happened to me...
Recently, I saw this happen as I was playing a farming game called Wylde Flowers! Every time my character, who just happens to have the same name as me 💁🏼♀️, would earn money in the game I would feel that little burst of excitement we all get when the paycheck hits our bank accounts. At one point I was so engrossed in the game, I actually was confused when I checked my own checking account and the $84,000 wasn't there! I had earned that in the video game, but for a moment my subconscious believed in real life I had saved that much money!
That's the kinda crazy thing about our brains 🧠 and why this works so well. Our subconscious doesn't know the difference between reality and imagination! For example, if you think back on a really happy moment, you may start to feel the warm fuzzies...or on the other hand, think of a future event that is stressful and feel your heart pounding and palms sweating. Your body reacts in real time and creates an emotional response to something you are only thinking about!
Which is why we can use movies, tv, books, video games, and music to manifest! If we are intently watching, listening, or playing our brain starts to blur the lines of what is reality and what we are consuming. And your body starts to feel emotions as if it were happening to you aka becoming a vibrational match for that reality!
HOW can you start using this to manifest?
1. Well first, what do you desire? What kind of reality do you want to create for yourself? What are your goals the next few months? How do you want to feel, look, dress, act, etc? For more clarity and journal prompts on this step, check out Manifested It! The Journal chapter 1.
(pro tip: really focus on how these desires will make you FEEL! What emotions would you be experiencing if you were already living that reality? Our emotions are key to becoming a vibrational match. So even if the type of media doesn't perfectly paint the picture of your goals, anything that creates a similar emotional response will still work!)
2. Once you know what you want, now it's time to find those songs, movies, books, games, or social media accounts that evoke those feelings or atheistically match the lifestyle you desire. You may have already had a few pop in your head while reading this blog! If not, no worries. I share some of my favorites and suggestions further down.
3. Lastly, you watch, listen, read, or play the media that creates that reality and emotional response for you! This could like look dancing to that song every morning or ending the night getting lost in a book. You could do this as often as you'd like to help you start thinking and feeling more into those realities. It is as simple as that!
Side Note: Music in particular is a very powerful for manifesting since it evokes such strong emotions in us! 🎶 You can use this to your advantage by listening to the same song every day while you visualize, journal, or do whatever your favorite manifestation technique is. This creates an association (aka an anchor) in your brain between your desire and that song! Then anytime I want to tap back into that emotion just listen to the song again! I did this when I was manifesting my wife 🌈 proposing at Disney. Every morning I would listen to "Happily Ever After" and visualize her getting down on one knee and spoiler alert...it happened even more magically than I could ever imagine! 💍 And I STILL, two years later, feel all those emotions come back to me the moment I hear that first note!
BUT, I do want to remind you that there is more to manifesting than just thinking and feeling as if you already had it. The third step is taking inspired action and the fourth step is surrendering so you can receive it! So these fun exercises will not automatically make your desires appear out of thin air...if that were true I would have all the Audis from Fifty Shades of Grey and that greenhouse I built in my farming game lol.
Instead, this is a great addition to your manifestation rituals and obviously a lot more fun than writing your desires 55 times a day like some people suggest online...

📚 read books like "Rich as F*ck" or "The Great Gatsby"
🎶 listen to songs like "Money" by Cardi B or "7 Rings" by Ariana Grande
👾 play video games where you earn money in ways that you'd like to receive income in real life. (example: Wylde Flowers if you want to open a farm)
📱 follow accounts like @luxurylifestylemaguk or @theluxurytravelbook or create a Pinterest board full of things you will buy one day
If you want to manifest more SELF CONFIDENCE:
🎥 watch movies like "Legally Blonde" or "I Feel Pretty"
📚 read books like "Main Character Energy" or personal development books on boosting self love and confidence
🎶 listen to songs like "Woman" by Ke$sha or "Love Myself" by Hailee Steinfeld
👾 play video games where you get to makeover the main character so you can create your confident af alter ego
📱 follow accounts like @empirewomenvision or self confidence coaches or create a Pinterest board with quotes

👾 play video games that feel whimsical and magical to you

So now that you know WHY this works and HOW to use different media to manifest, all that is left is for you to actually do it and allow yourself to fully be immersed in those realities for a while! As I have said so many times in this blog, it's the emotion that matters most when it comes to shifting your vibration and manifesting. So let yourself get lost in a good book or obsessed with a new video game. Schedule in some time for this manifestation game and see what happens over the next few weeks in your real life!
