It was 2020. My wife and I were searching for our first home in Vermont. And yes—it was wild. Pandemic rules meant we had to attend showings separately, masked up and armed with alcohol wipes.

After months of searching, we found it: the dream home.

✅ The location.

✅ The price.

✅ A home office, basement gym, fire pit, and a deep enough tub to cover my boobs and knees (iykyk).

✅ Even the exact kind of cosmetic projects we wanted to do.

The moment I stepped inside, my entire body lit up: this was it. The Universe confirmed it with owls at the showing and a butterfly landing on the door the day we moved in.

But then… a family member (who had bought 5 homes) told us:

“Maybe you should wait a year and see what the market does. It’s kind of crazy right now.”

And logically? Sure. It made sense. But we knew.

We trusted ourselves—and thank goddess we did.

A year later, that same home would have cost $148,000 more with double the interest rate. AND—6 months after moving in, my wife lost her 9-5 job (the one our loan was based on). If we had waited, we never could’ve bought a home.

That’s the power of trusting your intuition over someone else’s fear. And that’s what happens when you listen to your inner knowing, even when it defies logic.

👀 STORY TIME: The Mole, the Freak-Out, and the Voice Inside Me

A few months ago, I finally went to a skin cancer screening after months of waiting.

The dermatologist checked me over and decided to biopsy one mole on my back. But when we got to the one on my arm—the one that had been keeping me up at night—she said: “That one doesn’t bother me. But patients tend to have a sixth sense. If you’re worried, we can test it.”

UM. WHAT.

It had all the warning signs:

🔺 Multiple colors

🔺 Irregular borders

🔺 Bigger than 6mm

But there I was, spiraling: What if I’m overreacting? What if I’m imagining this?

And then… my intuition spoke.

“You’re already here. Test it.”

So we did. Eight days later, I got the call:

“The one on your arm is severely atypical. It needs to be removed completely.”

YUP. The one she wasn’t worried about. The one I knew needed attention. The one my body and Spirit had been screaming about for months.

Spiritual Lesson: Trust Your F*cking Intuition

Always. Especially when people in authority question it. Especially when your brain tries to gaslight you. Especially when it feels important.

This moment changed me. It deepened my self-trust. It reminded me that I am my own best guide.
