✨Inspired by the 2026 New Year Manifesting Guide by Tara Simone✨

There’s something sacred about New Year’s Eve. That liminal space where one chapter gently closes and another opens with possibility. It’s the perfect energetic portal to get still, reflect, release what’s no longer aligned, and call in the version of you who will flourish in 2026!
Instead of hustling into the new year with pressure-filled resolutions, these rituals help you enter 2026 feeling grounded, supported, and divinely guided. Think cozy candles, soft music, journaling by the fireplace, and truly feeling your next-level self come alive.
Below are my favorite New Year’s Eve rituals — straight from my ✨New Year Manifesting Guide✨ — to help you enter the new year with clarity, confidence, and a whole lot of magic.
1. New Year’s Eve Reflection Journal Prompts
Before we jump into manifesting the next chapter, we need to honor the one that’s ending. Reflection is more than nostalgia — it’s an act of self-witnessing. It helps your mind and your energy recognize how far you’ve come, what you’ve learned, and what you're ready to leave behind.
On New Year’s Eve, make space for a slow, nourishing reflection ritual. Light a candle, grab your comfiest blanket, and journal through these prompts from the guide:
Reflection Prompts
✍🏻 What magical moments am I most grateful for this year?
✍🏻 What growth did I experience — even the subtle shifts?
✍🏻 What goals or habits did I begin, strengthen, or accomplish?
✍🏻 What obstacles showed up, and what did they teach me?
✍🏻 Which emotions guided me — the uplifting ones and the challenging ones?
✍🏻 What lessons do I want to carry with me into 2026?
These prompts set your vibration to gratitude, clarity, and awareness — the perfect foundation for manifesting!
2. Powerful New Year’s Eve Release Ritual to Let Go of Last Year
Reflection creates awareness. Release creates freedom.
One of the most transformational New Year’s Eve rituals is a simple letting-go ceremony. This step is where people feel the energetic shift — the sense of “Oh… that chapter is really over.”
Here’s how to do the releasing ritual from the guide:
On a separate sheet of paper, write down anything you’re ready to release before entering 2026: limiting beliefs, old habits, relationships, fears, frustrations, patterns, or energy that has overstayed its welcome.
Light a white candle and safely burn the paper.
As the paper turns to ash, imagine those habits and beliefs dissolving from your mind and energy field.
Say: “It has been released, and I have been renewed.”
If emotions come up, they’re part of the clearing. You can even pair this ritual with an EFT tapping session (I have dozens on YouTube like the one below!) to soothe your nervous system and anchor in your new reality.
3. How to Choose Your Intentions/Words for the New Year
Once you’ve released the past year, it’s time to choose who you’re becoming. Instead of resolutions that feel heavy or rigid, I love choosing three intention words aka the energetic identity you’re stepping into.
These words act as your North Star, influencing your habits, decisions, and mindset all year long.
Some examples: Grounded. Magnetic. Abundant.
Or: Creative. Confident. Open-hearted.
How to choose your words (from the guide):
Say each word out loud while looking in the mirror.
Notice how they feel in your body — expansive? Tight? Exciting?
Choose the ones that feel empowering, tender, or slightly stretchy in the best way.
Turn them into an affirmation like:
“I am grounded. I am open. I am becoming her more and more every day.”
Pin your words somewhere you’ll see them every morning and repeat before starting your day!
✨ Bonus New Year’s Eve Ritual: How to do the Wheel of Life Check-In
If you want an extra layer of clarity before stepping into 2026, the Wheel of Life exercise from the guide is the perfect end-of-year ritual. It gives you a gentle but honest snapshot of how balanced (or unbalanced) your life feels — and where you’re craving more support, energy, or intention.
Think of it as a cozy self-audit… but with compassion instead of pressure.
How to Do the Wheel of Life Ritual
Choose 6–8 areas of your life that matter to you. Some favorites:
Relationships
Self-care
Career/Business
Health
Spirituality
Hobbies
Home/Environment
Finances
Draw a circle and divide it into slices — like a pie chart, one slice per category.
Rate each area from 1–10 based on how satisfied, supported, and aligned you feel.A “1” is barely any energy at all, and “10” feels grounded, joyful, and thriving.
Shade in each slice according to your rating. This gives you a visual snapshot of where energy is flowing… and where it might feel stuck.
Look at your wheel honestly:
Is your life rolling smoothly?
Or is this wheel a little… wobbly?
Which areas feel full, nourished, and lit up?
Which ones are calling out for more love, attention, or boundaries?
The goal isn’t perfection. It’s balance — your version of well rounded, not anyone else’s.
As you head into 2026, ask yourself:
Where can I gently bring more energy into the areas that feel neglected?
Can I borrow momentum from an area that’s thriving?
What single shift would make the biggest difference right now?
This ritual gives you clarity on where your manifestations actually need support and the small shifts you need to make to improve your overall life!
4. How to Create a New Year Vision Board That Actually Works
After choosing your words, move into vision — literally! Your New Year’s Eve is the perfect time to make (or refresh!) your digital vision board.
But here’s the key from the guide: Don’t choose pretty images. Choose images that make you feel something.
Your emotions are the vibrational match to your desire, so let the board activate the version of you who already has everything she’s calling in!
When creating your emotional vision board:
💗 Pick images that give you butterflies, warmth, or expansion.
💗 Add your three words or your yearly affirmation.
💗 Make it your phone or laptop background for daily subconscious reprogramming.
💗 Optional: add a soft playlist, warm beverage, and candlelight for a cozy ritual experience.
Now make it your laptop background or print it out and frame it in your home so you keep your goals, and those emotions, at the forefront of your mind!
5. Habit Hacks to Stick to Your New Years Resolutions
Manifestation isn’t just energetic — it’s behavioral. But the trick is to start small, especially at the start of a new year.
Instead of overwhelming yourself with a massive list of daily goals on January 1st, pick just one habit shift your future self already practices.
From the guide, here are the best habit-embodiment tips!
How to choose and embody your first 2026 habit:
⭐️ Keep it simple — one shift per week so you don't overwhelm your brain with change.
⭐️ Stack it onto a habit you already do
(after brushing your teeth, while making coffee, etc).
⭐️ State it as though you already do it:
“I post about my offers three times a week.”
“I walk for ten minutes every morning.”
⭐️ Focus on adding to your routine, not subtracting from your life.
What your focus on expands. So setting a goal to NOT do something is just giving it more power.
And ask yourself the magic question I use daily in my business: “How can I make this easier? How can I make this more fun?”
This is where your identity begins to shift — gently, playfully, sustainably!
6. New Year’s Eve Manifestation Ritual: FEEL your 2026 goals
After the reflection, release, and embodiment steps, your energy is primed for manifestation.
Now we move to the emotional step: feeling it.
Pick one of these practices from the guide for your New Year’s Eve ritual:
Choose one:
A guided visualization
A personalized or Tap-A-Long EFT session
Future scripting in your journal
Looking at your vision board and letting the feelings wash through you
Mirror affirmations
This is where you align your frequency with the life you’re calling in — truly feeling the gratitude, joy, abundance, confidence, or peace of already having it.
Your emotions are your magnet 🧲 attracting your goals to you!

✨ Bonus New Year’s Eve Ritual: Discover Your Tarot Card of the Year
One of my favorite mystical ways to kick off the new year is by pulling your Tarot Card of the Year — a Major Arcana card that acts as your personal theme, energy, and spiritual lesson for the next 12 months. It’s like getting a little cosmic “heads up” about what 2026 is inviting you into.
🔮 Use Your Birthday to Calculate Your Personal Year Number
This is the most common numerology-based method for choosing your tarot card.
Write your birth month + birth day + the upcoming year
Example:Birthday: June 15 → 6 + 1 + 5Year: 2026 → 2 + 0 + 2 + 6
Add all the digits together 6 + 1 + 5 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 22
If it’s two digits, reduce it to a number between 1 and 22
(since there are 22 Major Arcana cards)
22 stays 22
23 would become 2 + 3 = 5
14 stays 14
Match your number to the Major Arcana
Examples:
1 → The Magician
6 → The Lovers
10 → Wheel of Fortune
16 → The Tower
19 → The Sun
21 → The World
22 → The Fool
Your Personal Year Tarot Card reveals the energetic “curriculum” you’ll be learning in 2026 — the themes, challenges, breakthroughs, and magic that will shape your next chapter!
