How To Change Your Life In 10 Minutes A Day

Truth bomb: You do not need ______ to finally be happy (insert: a boyfriend, more money, lose weight, a child, better skin, ect). You can be happy with what you have today by simply implementing this 10 minute practice into your life right now! 10 minutes a day to yourself focusing on this one thing could be the difference between a life full of joy and a life living through the motions.
How many people do you know that are always happy? No matter what they are smiling and never a complaint so you just assume their life is perfect or they are delusional...at least that's what I use to think. I told myself that those happy people had something I didn't and when "I lose the weight" or "when my boyfriend stops cheating" or "when I find my dream client" I will finally be happy. I kept living in the future and waiting eagerly for that next level without recognizing all the joy at this level.
So how can you instantly be happy with what you have now even though it is not all you desire? It comes down to your mindset! Everything in this life is neutral. No event in this life is positive or negative until YOU assign meaning to it.
What do I mean by that? Take divorce for example. One person may be crushed and fall into a deep depression because their spouse left them while another person could be celebrating they are finally free to love again. Both of them experienced divorce, but based on circumstances and their mindset both interpreted the situation differently.
I know it sounds way too easy and almost cliche. "Positive vibes only" "be grateful for everything" blah blah blah. But this is different. By focusing on improving your mindset just 10 minutes a day can help you find the positive even in the worst possible situations and attract more things to be grateful for.
But how do you improve your mindset? PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT. This one thing could radically change every aspect of your life because that is what it did for me! Before I became an online coach I honestly thought self help and personal development books were crap. I thought only people with issues read them...like serious issues...not like me...I am waayyyy too cool for that. (If only I could go back to 20 year old Tara and slap her with a good book!)
Now those books are my lifeline! Just consistently reading 10 minutes a day of a personal development book a day transformed who I am as a person, how I show up in my business and relationship, and my perception of reality.

Choose Wonder Over Worry
This book is at the top of my list because it is my new favorite! Each chapter identifies a limiting belief, shares a real life story, and provides journal prompts to help you move from worry to wonder.
With its short, and very impactful, chapters it is easy to read a little each day or binge the whole book in a weekend. Also her beautiful art work definitely adds a little something extra!
The Universe Has Your Back
This is one of those books I have listened to on Audible multiple times and always go back to on a bad day. Gabby Bernstein's perspective on life has radically changed mine and shown me all the support and love the universe has for me.
Throughout the book you will find meditations, journal prompts, mantra, and affirmations that will change your life when you implement them!
Rich as F*ck
My FAVORITE book on money manifestation! Amanda will transform your mindset and help you see the infinite possibilities available to you!
Her courses sell for over $2,000 on this topic and this book has some of her best tips! Whether you own a business or work the 9-5 this book will change how you see earning, receiving, spending, investing, and having money.
Year of Yes
Any other Grey's Anatomy fans here?!? Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes is part self help book and part Grey's memoir. I recommend the audio version because Shonda's voice is captivating and she tells pretty good stories along the way.
Her life story is extremely motivating for anyone trying to live a bigger and bolder life. If you are looking for a kick in the butt and want to learn how to be unapologetically you, start listening to this now!
You Are A Badass Series
I love any book that curses at me! Jen Sincero gives amazing advice every sentence to empower you and give you that little push when you need it. She combines motivational speeches with curse words and the law of attraction aka my favorite things!
Again this is a book I recommend on audio and I highly recommend BOTH of these especially if you are a newbie to self help books. It was the first one I read and always recommend to my team of coaches.
