Healthier Starbucks Peppermint Mocha


Anyone else craving a Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks? It is already 40 degrees here in Vermont and I am ready to get my hands on that Christmas in a cup, but I do not love all the sugar. 54g of sugar and 440 calories for a Grande with Whip Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks?!? No thank you. Even a tall without whip and almond milk (aka a skinny Starbucks Peppermint Mocha) is 21g of sugar and 150 calories. So how can we make this holiday classic a little healthier? Or maybe even make a homemade DIY one using Peppermint Mocha Shakeology!

How to Order:

"Hot Grande Skinny Mocha"

"Only 3 pumps of skinny mocha sauce"

"3 pumps of peppermint syrup"

"with almond milk"

"no whip"

How to make a DIY Starbucks peppermint mocha using peppermint mocha Shakeology from Beachbody!

Peppermint Mocha Shakeology:

Directions:

1 packet of Peppermint Mocha Shakeology

1 cup of unsweetened almond milk

6oz of espresso (or brewed coffee)


Instructions:

Blend espresso and Peppermint Mocha Shakeology together in a blender.

Heat almond milk in mason jar in microwave until bubbling (approximately 30-60 seconds)

Froth almond milk or cover and shake mason jar vigorously to froth milk.

Pour over espresso Shakeology mixture and enjoy!
