5 Spring Cleaning Tips to Reset Your Business, Your Habits, and Your Life 🌸

Can you hear that? The days are getting longer, the air is getting sweeter, and nature is practically whispering "out with the old, in with the new.' Spring is hands down my favorite season for a reset because it gives us this natural permission slip to shed what is not working and grow into something that feels more aligned, more spacious, and more fun in both life and business.

So today, bestie, let's do a full spring cleaning for your business and your life together. We are talking slow living resets, sustainable small business habits, digital decluttering, refreshing your brand presence, and shifting the daily routines that are quietly running the show. Whether you are a solopreneur who is feeling a little burnt out, a creative entrepreneur craving more clarity, or just someone who wants their business to feel as good as it looks on the outside, this one is for you. And make sure you stick around because I saved the best tip for last! 🌿

  1. Spring Clean Your Home Office for Better Focus and Energy 🧹

There is a reason the saying "outer order creates inner calm" has stuck around for so long. Physical clutter equals mental clutter and right now my business feels a bit chaotic with all these new ideas of products and offers swirling in my head. At the moment my office reflects that with piles of books, crafting materials, and random things thrown in corners. (see the video above for proof 😅)

When your workspace is covered in old notebooks, tangled cords, random sticky notes, and things you keep meaning to deal with later, your brain is quietly processing all of it in the background. That mental chatter adds up and it can make even the simplest daily tasks feel heavier than they need to be.

This spring, let's give your office a proper refresh! Clear off your surfaces, wipe everything down (side note: I am obsessed with Swedish dish cloths and Thieves cleaner for this), sweep out the old energy, and let yourself be a little ruthless about what stays. Bring in something fresh that makes you happy like a plant, a new candle, or thrifted trinket. Maybe rearrange furniture or even paint an accent wall, whatever shifts the energy for you. A space that feels intentional and alive will absolutely change how you show up every single day.

And if you want to make this a monthly ritual instead of a once a year scramble, watch my New Month Rituals video for a whole routine you can steal (+ a little bit of woo-woo & magic to sprinkled in there) ✨

  1. Digital Declutter Tips for Small Business Owners Who Are Overwhelmed by Their Inbox 💻

Okay, raise your hand if your phone camera roll is basically a digital hoarder situation and your inbox has emails from 2019 that you are definitely going to read someday. No judgment, we are all there! But that digital clutter drains you just as much as the physical kind, it is just sneakier about it. A cluttered digital life quietly adds friction to everything you do in your business and spring is the perfect time to clear it out.

As I always say "releasing the old creates room for the new". This isn't just decluttering, it's making space for the clients, customers, creativity, and cash flow you are calling in this next quarter! Here are a few low effort ways to start decluttering:

📸 Try deleting your phone photos by searching by month and clearing just one month per day so it never feels overwhelming

💌 Archive old email subscribers instead of deleting them so you make space for fresh, engaged people while also saving on your platform quota and keeping your costs down.

👋🏻 Unsubscribe from any paid tools or apps you are not actually using, because those little charges add up fast!

📱 Then do a general sweep of your notes app, downloads folder, and any apps sitting on your home screen that you have not touched in months.

  1. How to Refresh Your Offer Suite and Online Presence Without Starting From Scratch 🌟

This is not about blowing everything up and starting over. It just giving what you already have a fresh coat of paint so it actually reflects who you are right now. Take a look at your about me page, your social media bio, and your sales pages and ask yourself honestly: Does this still sound like me? Does it speak to the person I am trying to reach today? If the answer is a hesitant maybe, it is time for a little refresh!

Small shifts can make a huge difference here! Play with your language, swap in a more recent photo, bold your key phrases, add a splash of color or a few emojis, and let your personality come through because people genuinely buy from people they feel connected to. The person behind the product matters so much more than most of us realize.

  1. Release Old Habits, Patterns, and Routines That Are Holding You Back 🌱

This is the section I really want you to sit with, because this is where the real spring cleaning happens. We are not just talking about habits here, we are talking about patterns, ways of thinking, maybe even client relationships or commitments that have quietly stopped serving you. Sometimes the thing standing between you and your next level is not a new strategy, it is something you are still carrying that you were supposed to put down a while ago.

A great place to start is the Wheel of Life exercise where you rate different areas of your life and business to see where you are actually thriving and where things feel a little flat. (the video above walks you step by step through this practice) From there, ask yourself:

✍🏻 What obstacles, thoughts, or habits are sitting in my way right now?

✍🏻 What am I genuinely ready to release?

✍🏻 What 3 habits does the future version of me practice every single day?

✍🏻 Where in my current schedule can I stack those habits so they actually stick?

For me personally, I am releasing my late night doomscrolling habit by replacing it with daily creativity and cozy hobbies after dinner with my wife. Every night when I put my dishes in the sink it will act as a visual reminder and mental trigger to grab my crochet basket or needle felting project instead of my phone. Eventually this will become natural part of my daily routine I won't even have to think about.

  1. Reset Your Daily Routines and Rituals for a Life That Actually Feels Good ☀️🌙

Here is the truth, friend: if you genuinely want to spring clean your life and not just tidy it up for a day or two before it slides back to chaos, it all comes down to your routines. The rituals you repeat every morning and evening are quietly shaping the entire trajectory of your days, your energy, and your business. This is the tip I promised to save for last and I meant it.

The easiest way to start transforming your routine is with habit stacking we just chatted about (i,e attaching a new desired habit to something you already do automatically so it eventually becomes second nature.) You do not need a perfect three hour morning routine to feel the difference. Just little shifts every week until you have a ritual that feels intentional, cozy, and perfect for yo. Even ten intentional minutes at the start and end of your day can completely change how you feel showing up in your work and your life.

If you want some inspiration, I have a morning routine video and an evening routine video that walk you through exactly what this looks like in real cozypreneur life. Go watch them and let them spark some ideas for your own routine reset! 🌿✨
