Veggies most? WTF IS THAT?!

Water first, veggies most? What is that and how can volume eating and intuitive eating help me lose weight?!

What the eff is up with this girl and veggies most, am I right?! If you're reading this blog you probably watch my Instagram stories and always see me #waterfirstveggiesmost or put cauliflower rice into everything and there's a good reason for that....I LOVE TO EAT!! So much that I even got a degree in nutrition because I wanted to know how can I eat more and still be healthy. Maybe you are wondering the same thing or even think that is impossible. Well lucky for you, I am letting you in on my little secret to staying healthy, maintaining (or even losing weight if that is your goal) while still eating my favorite foods and a lot of them!


This idea of #waterfirstveggiesmost came from the nutrition course inside the Vitality Virtual Fit Studio! It teaches you what volume and intuitive eating is so you can gain, maintain, or lose weight without going crazy over calorie counting, macro tracking, weighing every piece of food, or cutting out food groups all together. It is basically the anti-diet and I LOVE IT!


A few years ago, and by that I mean high school which was actually 10 years ago, I fell down the slippy diet culture slop. What started as running a few miles a day and eating more fruits or veggies turned into liquid fasting, crazy 5am fasted workouts, and what I now know is called orthorexia. (you can read more about my journey here if you are interested) I took it to the extreme and have struggled with body dysmorphia as well as my relationship with food ever since.


After recovering (which is a daily on going process), I made it my mission to help other women find an actual healthy way to live a better lifestyle that didn't waste their time counting calories or hours at a gym doing a workout they hate. No obsession, no restriction, just feeling amazing! That is when I founded the Vitality Virtual Fit Studio!


This online community isn't another workout challenge or diet bet. It is a new way of living, breathing, and being!


We focus on physical health, of course, but take it deeper by incorporating meditations, journaling, EFT Tapping, manifestation, self help books, and every thing you need to transform your spiritual and mental health as well. That includes healing your relationship with food and your body so you don't waste hours a day feeling shame around your appearance or worrying about nutrition labels.


This nutrition program focusing on four main principles:

  1. Water first: Before every meal or snack you drink 16 oz of water. It is that easy!! The goal is to drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water (Ex: 200lbs / 2 = 100 oz of water daily) because staying hydrated is not only amazing for your skin, but also helps prevent false hunger cues.

  2. Veggies most: Vegetables are full of vitamins, minerals, water, and fiber, but low in calories so you can eat a lot of them without worrying about gaining weight. THIS is the secret to volume eating and staying consistent on your health journey. I promise you will not go hungry eating all the delicious veggies and with the recipes we provide, you won't even notice them sometimes. 3. Tracking: Don't worry! This is super easy tracking. You simply write down what you ate. That's it! By logging what you eat you become more mindful of what you are putting in your body as well as start to see what works for you. For example, since tracking I realized I am sensitive to dairy. Every time I would feel bloated, I would look back at my tracking journal (which comes included with the Fit Studio btw!) and see that I had milk or cheese or ice cream. That doesn't mean I have to cut out all dairy, but now I know it limit it to special occasions or find an alternative so I can keep feeling amazing every day.


4. The scale: If you have dieted before, you may be afraid of the scale. I know for a while, I hated it. But once I started stepping on it daily, I wasn't scared of it anymore because it is just another piece of information about my body. Just like your height doesn't mean anything about your worth, neither does the scale. It just helps you know what works for my body and what doesn't the same way tracking does.


That's it! Its really that easy! Our online nutrition course has 3 hours of videos as well as recipes and tips from other clients on how to succeed using it, but those 4 tips are basically it! Just drink water before every meal, focus on filling your plate with veggies, write down what you ate, and weigh yourself every morning.
