Sundays aren't meant for stressing about the week ahead. They were made for slowing down and savoring the moment instead 🌿

That’s the whole idea behind Slow Living Sunday, my favorite day of the week and little weekend ritual to help me disconnect from my phone and my business, slow down, and romanticize my life.

It’s also become one of my favorite ways to set myself up for a successful week ahead without spending my entire Sunday worrying about Monday.

If you’ve been looking for a cozy weekend routine that helps you avoid the Sunday Scaries while still getting a few things done, I’m sharing the three simple S’s I use every week: Set Up, Self Care, and Savor plus tips to help you romanticize any task.

But first, let me tell you how Slow Living Sunday came to be.

Why I Created Slow Living Sunday

When I was recovering from burnout and still learning how to find a balance between my life and my business, the idea of slow living seemed so lovely in theory, but completely impractical in real life.

I knew constantly being attached to my phone and thinking about work 24/7 wasn’t healthy, but I am still a business owner with things to do, goals to reach, and approximately 47 things on my mental to-do list at all times.

So instead of trying to completely overhaul my life, I decided to dedicate just one day a week to slowing down and savoring the little things.

Those 24 hours away from my phone and work completely changed my life to say the least because they helped me slow down enough to notice just how wonderful it already was. I started paying more attention to the little moments I normally rushed right past and I realized that I didn’t need to constantly be doing something productive for my life to feel meaningful.

I would sit outside to sip my coffee, wander through the garden without a particular task in mind, or curl up with a crochet project and actually relax at night. And somehow even the mundane tasks like laundry started to feel a magical (but more about that in the video above!)

That’s because Slow Living Sunday isn’t really about what you’re doing, but how you’re doing it - the slow, steady, and spacious way.

The 3 S’s of Slow Living Sunday

Over time, I started organizing my Slow Living Sundays around three simple categories: Set Up, Self Care, and Savor. Together, they help me craft a Sunday that feels cozy, yet productive without turning my weekend into another giant to-do list.

And I put them all together into this cozy and FREE Slow Living Sunday Worksheet for you!
