5 Tips To Save 5 Hours A Week
"I just don't have the time." How many times have you said that to yourself? I would always say that and feel as if I never had time for myself each week. All these women on social media have time for date nights and bubble baths and I just wanted a few extra hours to clean the house, take a full shower, and enjoy a Netflix and chill night. So I came up with 5 tips to save 5 hours a week in your schedule.
btw I may receive a small compensation when you use the links below at no extra cost to you :)
1. Deliver your groceries
If you are like me, you hate grocery shopping because it is always busy when you have time to go. Everyone takes their line in aisles, leaves their carts everywhere, and won't move away from the one product you want to grab quick. It always leaves me frustrated.
Which is why we use instacart now! For a small fee (under $10) we have someone else deal with the long lines, screaming kids, and traffic so I can stay home and get more important things done.
This trick also saves us money because when you order online you don't get distracted by the random food you do not really need. Instead of buying an extra $30 of junk and wasting an hour at the store, we shop on instacart and listen for the doorbell to ring with our groceries.
Try it yourself! Use this link to receive $10 off your first order.
2. Use Grove Collabortive
In this home we try to be as chemical free as possible since we have a little puppy that likes to lick everything which is why we love using Grove! All their products are non toxic, cruelty free, and sustainable materials than can be delivered to your door monthly.
No more shopping for cleaning supplies, running out of toilet paper, rushing to buy tampons, or worrying if something is safe to use! To hear more about Grove check out my first blog about them and use this link to receive $10 off your order AND a FREE Mrs. Meyers Set complete with hand wash, lotion, dish soap, and a candle. Our favorite scent is Lavender or Autumn Spice.
3. Online Workout Classes
These have been a game changer for us. We hated sitting in traffic, waiting for machines, and wasting time trying to figure out what the eff to do at the gym. After realizing we were paying over $300 a year for a membership we barely used and wasting an hour a day in traffic or waiting, we knew we needed a switch.
That's when we found Beachbody on Demand! For only $160 we got over +700 guided 30 minute workout classes, easy meal plans, and Shakeology shakes for almost half the price of a normal gym. With our crazy schedules and spontaneous vacations Beachbody is a must if we want to stay healthy.
4. Cook with Hello Fresh
We are Hello Fresh lifers in this house. After adopting Nala and having no time to go out on dates, we started using Hello Fresh and cooking together as our weekly date night. All their meals are healthy and quick to make as well as delicious.
In under 30 minutes we would have a meal for two instead of driving to the store, searching Pinterest for a recipe, hunting for ingredients, driving home, and cooking.
Try it for yourself and get cooking tonight! Use this link for $40 off your first box.
5. Start to Multitask during Mindless Activities
When I was a full time student and getting my business off the ground, I literally was planning my day by the seconds and never had time for most important thing - learning! My business was dependent on how fast I could learn and implement social media strategies to grow audience. That is when I started listening to podcasts and audiobooks while driving, doing dishes, showering, and folding laundry.
This didn't add anytime to my day, but a ton of value. For some ideas, check out this blog on my favorite books for girl bosses.
