Iced Almond Milk Macchiato


Anyone else LOVE a good macchiato, but don't want all the sugar? These tasty iced coffees from Starbucks are my go to summer drink, but I could not find a healthier, low calorie, or low sugar option...until I made this: Iced Cinnamon Almond Milk Protein Macchiato.

Anyone else LOVE a good macchiato, but don't want all the sugar? These tasty iced coffees from Starbucks are my go to summer drink, but I could not find a healthier, low calorie, or low sugar option...until I made this: Iced Cinnamon Almond Milk Protein Macchiato.


And the best part is - this drink has Shakeology superfoods in it so you get the healthiest meal of the day as well as your inner white girl fix. #winwin.


This Macchiato is only 188 calories and 7 grams of sugar compared to 200 calories and 29 grams of sugar in the Starbucks version, but the real difference is the protein. Our Shakeology Macchiato has 17 grams of protein compared to only 2 grams in the other. Last, but not least - price! This Shakeology Iced Cinnamon Almond Milk Macchiato only costs $3.75 to make versus paying Starbucks over $4.50 for a grande.

Ingredients

These tasty iced coffees from Starbucks are my go to summer drink, but I could not find a healthier, low calorie, or low sugar option...until I made this: Iced Cinnamon Almond Milk Shakeology Macchiato using Vegan Cafe Latte Shakeology.

For Bottom Layer

½ cup unsweetened almond milk

½ cup ice

½ scoop Vanilla Shakeology or Vegan Vanilla Shakeology


For Top Layer

½ cup unsweetened almond milk

½ cup ice

½ scoop Café Latte Shakeology or Café Latte Vegan Shakeology

¼ tsp. ground cinnamon

½ tsp. pure caramel extract



Instructions


For Bottom Layer

Place almond milk, ice, and Shakeology in blender; cover. Blend until smooth.

Pour into serving glass. Place glass in freezer while you blend the next layer.


For Top Layer

Place almond milk, ice, Shakeology, cinnamon, and extract in blender; cover. Blend until smooth.

Slowly pour into serving glass over bottom layer.
